Jr NTR is undoubtedly one of the biggest crowd pullers and one of the leading mass heroes in the Telugu Film Industry. However, of late, his recent films failed to perform well at the Box Office. In addition to this Tarak’s not-so-good relation with the Andhra Pradesh government is causing damage to him and his films. This is reportedly playing crucial role in selling his movie. Apparently, distributors are not so willing to buy the film in Andhra Pradesh as they’re ‘afraid’ whether Jr NTR-TDP relation would affect their collections.
Going by trade reports, the theatrical distribution rights of NTR’s upcoming film Nannaku Prematho aren’t sold in AP yet. While makers are planning to release the film for Sankranthi (on Jan 13), the film’s theatrical rights were sold to Reliance Entertainment in Nizam.
Reliance Entertainment has tied up with producer BVSN Prasad and the duo did films like Sahasam, Attarintiki Daaredi. But strangely for NTR’s Nannaku Prematho, it only bought the rights for Nizam. Though exact reasons are not known, many opine that not many distributors are ready to pump in money on Nannaku Prematho in AP.
Not long ago Ram Charan’s last offing Bruce Lee too undergo similar circumstances. Chiru-Charan’s distance with Pawan Kalyan coupled with bad word-of-the-mouth dampened its Box Office collections. That’s why the Mega compound rushed to meet Pawan. However, it didn’t help much as already film’s poor talk got spread.
