Frequent Sex Helps Women Live Longer: Study
Who doesn’t want to live long? Well, scientists have decoded this secret in their latest study. A recent study showed that women who indulge in frequent sex have a longer life but the impact on ageing is minimal.
The study showed that the women who participate in sex frequently have longer telomeres which boost their life expectancy. Telomeres are the protective caps on the ends of DNA that get short with time and eventually the cells die.
“This is an important finding. It provides new evidence that sexual intimacy within long-term relationships has health-enhancing benefits,” said Researchers from the University of California. The study was done between the age group of 20 and 50 and 129 women were quizzed. The study was published in the journal Psychoneuroendocrinology.
